Jiu-Jitsu Classes

We’re excited to let you know that Bazooka offers an extensive Jiu-Jitsu Fundamentals and Competition program. We’re lucky to have Richard “Monkey” Nancoo, a Canadian MMA Pioneer and one of Canada’s top-ranked black belt, partner along side Coach Marcus Kumala to teach our programs.

 

Jiu-Jitsu students must be approved by coaches on order to participate.

Jiu-Jitsu

Fundamentals

Want a more practical form of self-defense? Try out our Jiu Jitsu Fundamentals classes and learn more about this ground-based martial art. Burn fat, build muscle, improve cardiovascular health, and flexibility with this full-body workout. Develop your skills and technique through mobility, partner drills, and controlled live rolling (sparring) sessions. 

Class Highlights:

  • 60 minutes of class time

  • Burn up to 700 calories

  • Shed fat, get toned, and improve cardiovascular health

  • Increase muscle and improve flexibility

Jiu-Jitsu

Advanced

After learning the basics and progressing in our Fundamentals program, our Advanced Jiu Jitsu program is designed for practitioners who want to refine their skills, master techniques, and prepare for competition. These classes currently train amateur and professional athletes in our Bazooka Competition Team. 

Class Highlights:

  • 60 minutes of class time

  • Focus on live rolling (sparring)

  • Learning competition tactics

  • Higher intensity training
